Project to connect tidal turbines in the Alderney Race to the main electricity grid

Following the call for projects launched by the government, an experimental array will be installed by EDF New Energies in the Alderney Race.
As part of its public service mission, Enedis distributes electricity throughout France and connects all producers generating up to 20,000 volts to the grid.
Enedis has been tasked with carrying out the connection project for this experimental array.

By the end of the project, only the building housing the energy metering point at Les Bruyères, Jobourg, will remain visible. All of the cable routing in this exceptional area and beyond will be underground.

You can find out how Enedis is going to carry out the work of connecting the tidal turbine array to the energy metering point at Jobourg.
